Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P. Johnson are two street-walking queens of Manhattan. When they, and their LBGTQ friends, finally decide enough is enough of the incessant police brutality, they erupt in a riot. Today, it's known as the 'Stonewall Riot,'  and marks the beginning of the gay revolution in the United States.

 

Sylvia and Marsha are the unheralded heroes of the LGBTQ movement in America, and throughout the world.
